| Transformational Communication is a process that allows people to relate to themselves and others in a self-affirming manner, and a communications model that provides the tools to create empowering relationships. It focuses on three specific areas: the way we listen, how we express ourselves, and the attitudes with which we communicate with ourselves and others.
Our model is based on the Person Centered Approach (PCA) developed by the great American psychologist Carl Rogers, which has been used successfully across a variety of cultures, nationalities and socio-economic groups. It is a non-expert model which can be used in a wide range of situations by people from all walks of life.
The Institute for Transformational Communication (ITC) is dedicated to helping clients learn the skills with which they can develop empowering relationships - at work, at home and in the community.
We provide our services through workshops, presentations, educational materials and consulting. Delivery is tailored to meet the needs of different client groups - private individuals, community based organizations (CBO's), government agencies and private sector corporations.
Our mission is to develop a network of support services, resources and practitioners to promote the use of these skills and develop a community of like-minded people across society and around the globe.
Our vision is a world in which all relationships can be empowering because all people will have the tools to communicate with one another in a transformational manner. |
